Sharing the Love

Valentine boxes

Hello friends! It’s been a while and I’m glad to be back. My life took an unexpected turn last December requiring me to slow down and focus on myself for a bit. That down time gave me an opportunity to re-evaluate a few things including how I want to focus my energy.

I really enjoy sharing paper crafting projects, both mine and those of other crafters, designers, and artists. It makes me feel creative. It energizes me. It inspires me and I want to keep doing it. But, I do have a few changes in mind that I’ll be working on over the next year.

Meanwhile, today is the perfect day to ease back into blogging because it gives me a chance to share a fun little project I worked on earlier this week. I filled small kraft favor boxes with assorted chocolates and candy and then decorated them with colored card stock and washi tape. There’s something sweet about a small package with simple adornments that people really enjoy. And I enjoyed sharing the love with friends and family.

Design Tip: Apply a couple of rows of colored washi tape to white card stock, then punch out your embellishments.

These are the supplies I used:
3” kraft favor boxes
1.5” EK Success circle punch
2” EK Success circle punch
Martha Stewart heart punch
Washi tape
Card Stock
Mono Adhesive Permanent tape

I am also glad to see you back in operation.
I am guessing by the photos in your blog that the cute box I received is full of assorted chocolates. I can’t wait to open it tomorrow. Thanks!
